This great museum is a hidden gem located right in the heart of Boston!

There are so many exhibits to see, and they change all the time! For example, there is a children’s discovery center on the second floor that showcases different exhibits each day. It has fun exhibits on science, space and technology.

Both kids and adults alike will love touring the exhibits at this museum. The planetarium is particularly impressive and fun to look at and there is also an iMax theater! It’s definitely worth a visit when you’re in the city and a perfect addition to indoor activities in Boston. The Boston Museum of Science is great for the whole family.

2. The Children’s Museum

The Boston Children’s Museum is a fun indoor attraction in Boston. This is a great indoor place to take kids! Not only is this a place where kids can explore science but it also seconds as a play center.

There are a total of 3 floors with amazing climbing structures, water play, bubble making, and imaginary play stations. Your kids could spend hours here having a blast!

This museum will entertain your kids with interactive stations, slides and a whole lot more. Plus the staff here are really friendly and approachable to ask questions or just make suggestions to have even more fun! This museum is perfect for families to let their children be creative and learn while they play.

3. New England Aquarium

Did you know there is an aquarium right on the waterfront in downtown Boston? It’s true, and I can definitely recommend a visit.

There is always something new and surprising to see, and you never know what may be swimming by the glass as you stand there waiting. With a wide variety of marine life, it’s great for both kids and adults alike! This is a great spot to explore when forced to go indoors while visiting Boston.

There is a cafeteria inside the aquarium for a quick bit to eat, or you can brave the weather and go to local restaurants near by.

There are several restaurants near the New England Aquarium on Long Wharf. The closest is Chart House. This is an upscale establishment several delicious seafood. There is also Waterline, inside The Marriott that serves class contemporary New England dishes. Lastly there is Tia’s which is also a fresh seafood restaurant.

4. Faneuil Hall

Stop here for a bite to eat! This is such a unique building that is full of a cafeteria-like food spread. This dining center is guaranteed to include something for everyone’s tastes.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace offers unique retail, up-and-coming boutiques, and local eateries. The food court layout has so many options. Not only do you get to make a decision about where you want to eat, but then you get to decide whether or not you want dessert!

5. Museum of Fine Arts Boston

Examining art helps us understand the past. We can see how societies lived and expressed themselves throughout the ages.
