The Summit Resort Review | Travel

The Summit Resort is a perfect getaway for families, couples, or even friends. It's the perfect size for a small group and there are tons of options for fun, adventures, and entertainment throughout the resort.

We love to have a winter getaway at The Summit Resort in Laconia, NH every year. This is a perfect long weekend vacation getaway.

The Summit Resort is located in the lakes region of New Hampshire and isn't far from Lake Winnipesaukee. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious suites with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. The suites also offer a balcony that you could enjoy, weather permitting!

The suites are a separate building from the Amenity Center, which made going to and from in the freezing cold temperatures a bit challenging, but we just drove the car. The Amenity Center includes a pool, that is actually 3 separate pools, two of which are equipped with water slides! One of the pools is a wading pool that is perfect for toddlers or little ones that cannot yet swim. It has a small slide too that my daughter absolutely loved. Another pool is heated, that one was my personal favorite. The third pool is a typical pool with no real deep end that had a slide going into it. There is also a sauna, fitness center, and a game room which is located upstairs.

Another favorite part about the pool was that there was a concession stand. You could purchase drinks and snacks to enjoy at a table along side the pool. This made for some special treats, like a creamsicle float!

We always have a great time here in the winter, but I'm sure in the summer months this place is just as wonderful. It is a perfect location for those spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee or surrounding areas.

If you are looking for a getaway that is close by and affordable, The Summit Resort is the place to go.
