White Lake State Park Campground Review | NH Camping

Updated: Oct 20

White Lake State Park is a park in Tamworth, NH that includes the glacial White Lake. This is a 125 acre lake that is clear and clean.

Most of NH State Parks are primitive camping only, meaning that there are no hookups, and White Lake State Park falls into that category. It is a bummer but this state park is worth it.

White Lake is a beautiful body of water with a scenic view of Mt. Chocorua and surrounding mountains as the backdrop. The beach can get a bit crowded on the weekends during peak season, but we have never had a problem securing a spot. There is a swimming area with a sandy beach and beautiful clear water. Right on the beach are two decent sized playgrounds that my kids love to play at when taking a break from swimming.

You can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards right on the beach for a decent price. There is also a shop where you can buy inflatable floats, popsicles, and snacks for the kids.

There is a path that you can hike that goes all the way around the lake that you can find at either camping area. All of the bathrooms are clean with fully functional toilets and sinks. I will say, the campsite bathrooms are in better shape than the bathrooms next to the beach area. The showers are….

We love White Lake State Park and camp here every year as well as visit the lake multiple times a summer.

I hope that this was helpful for you! Here are some more resources that might interest you.
